About Us

Diane Cohen

Diane Cohen lives in Citrus Hills with her husband, Bob Cohen, who is the owner of Bottom Line Bookkeeping & Tax Service, Inc. located in downtown Inverness. They have four grown children and four grandchildren.  Diane and Bob are Christians, and members of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, Florida.

Born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire, Ms. Cohen worked as a real estate sales broker for several years prior to moving to Florida in 1991. She then began working as an executive assistant and paralegal for a large real estate development company.

In 1997, Ms. Cohen became a volunteer guardian ad litem, representing abused and neglected children in court. That experience inspired her to pursue a career in law.

In 1999, Ms. Cohen received her Associate in Arts degree in pre-law from Central Florida Community College; in 2001, her Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology from the University of Florida; and finally, in 2004, her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida. Ms Cohen is now licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. Her areas of practice include estate planning, probate, real estate law, business law, and civil litigation.


 

Rebecca A. Briggs

Rebecca Briggs lives in Spring Hill and has two young children, Jacob and Hannah. Ms. Briggs is a member of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, Florida.

Ms. Briggs was born and raised in Massachusetts and, in 1993, after graduating with her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law, she worked for several years in the legal department of Bank One. Eventually she started her own law practice in Nashua, New Hampshire where she concentrated on estate planning, banking compliance and real estate.

In 2003, Ms. Briggs moved to Florida and from 2003 until 2007 she worked at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP in Tampa concentrating on estate and tax planning, probate and trust administrations, guardianships and charitable organizations.

On January 1, 2008 Ms. Briggs joined DIANE COHEN, P.A. She looks forward to assisting the citizens of Citrus County with their legal needs including estate and tax planning, trust and estate administration, guardianships, adoptions, charitable organizations and elder law.


 

Pat Cardona

Pat Cardona lives in Inverness with her husband Ruben Cardona.  They are the owners of Able Tree Service & Landscaping, for which Mrs. Cardona does the bookkeeping.  They have four grown children between them and two grandchildren.  They are members of The New Church Without Walls in Hernando, Florida.   

Mrs. Cardona was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and has been in Citrus County, Florida since 1976.  She worked in several areas of the banking field from 1978 to 1991. Then a career change came in 1991 with 15 years as a Certified Medical Assistant, with experience in several areas of the medical field. Mrs. Cardona has been in the legal field since 2005, with secretarial experience in Criminal Law and Family Law.  She has recently joined the Law Firm of Diane Cohen, P.A., as a Legal Secretary assisting the attorneys with daily secretarial duties. Her previous experience is an asset to this law firm and she looks forward to providing prompt and courteous assistance to our clients.
